With the help of West Central Nebraska Development District, the City of Imperial has been awarded the Civic and Community Center Financing Fund construction grant to help renovate this well-used public space into a more attractive, more welcoming, and more useful gathering space for our community. The feasibility study by Miller & Associates is complete and available here!

The City continues to update and add amenities because residents understand the power of quality services and amenities in a community. These amenities give residents a place to gather for shared experiences. This helps strengthen the bonds in the community, which keep people in Imperial. The City Square will enhance existing civic services and better serve resident's’ needs. A committee of community members are working together to finalize the design in order to start the renovations process.

Renovations are expected to begin in 2024.
