Air Travel
Denver International Airport (DIA) is an international airport located 3.5 hours away, or approximately 200 miles.

McCook Regional Airport is located in McCook, Nebraska, approximately 60 miles from Imperial and provides air shuttle service to major airports, including DIA.

Imperial Municipal Airport has a 100-foot wide; 5,000-feet long lighted concrete runway and serves medical specialists, air ambulance services and a number of corporate administrative personnel. Airport facilities include 18 hangars that are available for rent and a terminal building with fueling capabilities. The airport has an automated surface observation system and non-directional beacon equipment.

Highway
Imperial is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 6 and Nebraska State Highway 61 just 50 miles south of Ogallala, Nebraska and Interstate 80, 110 miles north of I-70 and 90 miles east of I-76.

A number of trucking companies service southwest Nebraska including Con-way, Inc., Nebraska Transport Company, American Truck Company and Brown Transfer Company. There are also a number of independently owned semi-trucks and trailers available for hire in the area.

Railroad
Nebraska Kansas Colorado Railway (NKCR) is a short-line railroad based in Grant, Nebraska. NKCR operates approximately 560 miles of track in three states, including the 48.4 miles of BNSF track connecting Imperial to the main line in Culbertson, Nebraska. NKCR is part of the OmniTRAX System. Rates are set by BNSF.

The nearest Amtrak station is located in McCook, Nebraska, approximately 60 miles east of Imperial. The California Zephyr line provides travel from San Francisco to Chicago.
