Imperial is a strong agricultural community and has weathered national recessions better than many comparable communities in other states.  Imperial continues to strengthen its business climate and development efforts through local incentatives,securing a multi-use development property and increasing Business Retention and Expansion Activities.

Utilities
Nebraksa is a 100% public power state enabling it provide electric power at rates lower than most states.  The City of Imperial provides electric, water and sanitary sewer services.
