Imperial Volunteer Fire Department
The Imperial Volunteer Fire Department is an organization dedicated to fire safety and protection. Funded through the City’s budget, 35 volunteers undergo local bi-weekly training sessions and attend fire school annually. The City and Rural departments both own equipment for their areas, but the same volunteer firemen answer calls for both entities. The department has a strong educational program and sponsors Junior Fire Patrol through the elementary school.

Law Enforcement
Four full-time officers provide law enforcement for the City of
Imperial. Chase County
provides a sheriff and three deputies to cover the rural areas.
The State Patrol has one patrolman stationed in Imperial to
assist in covering a nine-county area. Dispatching services are
provided by the county and are housed in the Chase County Court
House in Imperial. The county has implemented an Enhanced 911
system to identify callers with an address and any medical
information they have chosen to include as there call comes into the
dispatch center.
Emergency Medical Services
Imperial EMS has approximately 20 certified volunteer EMT's and 5 ambulance drivers. Chase County has four ambulances. Two of which are located in Imperial.

Code Red
The Code Red automated calling system is used to notify enrolled residents of dangerous weather conditions and emergencies
