Schroeder Park:
This city park is located at the intersection of Holland
and East 3rd Street consists of 3 lighted
ball fields, playground equipment and public restrooms.
Pitching machines and batting cages are available for
use by youth throughout the summer.
Campbell Park:
Imperial’s main city park is located at 800 West 6th
Street and includes ball field, municipal swimming pool,
lighted tennis/basketball court, playground equipment,
public restrooms and sheltered picnic area. Pitching
machines and batting cages are available for use by
youth throughout the summer.
Max Park:
This city park is located in the Max addition and
includes playground equipment, basketball court and
covered picnic shelter.
Municipal Swimming Pool:
Currently located in Campbell Park, the heated pool is
open from Memorial Day through mid-August. Offerings
include swim lessons, lap swimming, water aerobics, and
night swimming. A new outdoor swimming pool is planned
in cooperation with Chase County Schools and should be
open for the 2009 Swim Season.
Baseball/Softball Program:
The summer ball program is sponsored by
the City and the Imperial Baseball/Softball
Association. Beginning at age 6, children can register
for T-Ball teams, moving up through the levels to Legion
Baseball for older boys and Senior Girls League. For
adults, there are a number of mixed leagues and men’s
and women’s teams that organize and participate on their
own schedules.
Soccer Program:
Incorporated into the city’s recreation
program in 2006. Signups for all youth begin in
February. Season concludes in May.
Youth League
Basketball – Starting at the 4th
grade level, volunteers from boys and girls’ teams begin
learning the fundamentals of the game and enjoying the
team effort.
Imperial Country Club:
Located at 810 West 7th Street features a beautiful
nine-hole, par 35 course with lush green fairways and
challenging greens. Reasonable rates, club house and

Enders
Lake Golf Course: Located on the north side of
Highway 6 across from Enders Reservoir features a long
nine-hole, par 36 course with wide fairways and prairie
views. Reasonable rates, club house, driving range and

Enders Reservoir State Recreation
Area: Enders Reservoir is located ten miles
east of Imperial on Highway 6 and offers water-based
recreation for fishing, boating, water skiing, hunting
and winter sports. The area is maintained by the
Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Amenities include
picnic tables, grills, shelters modern restrooms,
coin-operated showers, dump station, fish cleaning
station, 32 (30-amp) hookups and 200 non-pad sites. (www.ngpc.state.ne.us)
Champion Mill State Historical Park:
Established in 1888, Champion Mill is the last
functional water-powered mill in Nebraska. It stands as
a symbol of the settlement and development of Nebraska

Champion Lake State Recreation Area: This 11
acre lake is Champion Lake is located ½ mile west of
Champion - U.S. Highway 6 or S-15A. Primitive campsites
are available for those at one with nature. This
recreation area offers primitive camping, picnicking,

Area Hunting:
Chase County has about 17,000 acres of public land with
walk-in access. There are populations of pheasant,
quail, dove, turkey and deer throughout the county.
Enders Reservoir is home to many species of duck as well
as Canadian geese. Information regarding guided hunting
