Local churches offer a wide variety of youth and adult
educational and fellowship opportunities, music
ministry, preschool facilities and support self-help
groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and
Women-Infant-Children programs. First United Methodist
Church, Imperial Bible Church and St. Patrick’s Catholic
Church each offer weekly services in Spanish.
The Imperial Valley Holiness Camp is a church camp
located approximately three miles east of Imperial. The
camp provides one week of spiritual and recreational
activities in a non-denominational atmosphere.
The local Ministerial Association supports the Chase
County Pantry service, which provides food items and
other essentials to distressed families. The Pantry is
open two days each week and is housed within the City
Office complex. Food drives are conducted by numerous
service organizations and support is strong with
donations of food items and financial contributions.
The Kenosis Effect has become an
annual Christian event sponsored in part by area
churches. This event includes concerts, volleyball
tournament and an
inspirational speaker. More information may be viewed on
